Ramapuram


Ramapuram is a small village and the place coming under the Kottayam district in the Indian state of kerala
Ramapuram is a centre of rich cultural and religious traditions. It is a land of religious harmony. The Twin Churches and Sri Rama temple of Ramapuram is famous. The temples of Lakshmana, Bharatha & Shatrukhna is situated in around 3.5km in places Koodappulam, Amanakara, Methiri from here.
Ramapuram is the birth place of such eminent personalities as Blessed Kunjachan, the saintly priest and social reformer, Ramapurathu Warrier, the classical poet, the Governodor of Kodungalloor Paremakkal Thomma Kathanar who wrote the first ever Indian travelogue and literature Lalithambika Antharjanam. The house of early Indian President KR Narayanan in Uzhavoor is just 8km from here.
